Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA) Hires Willem Haitink to Lead Sales Operations for Europe/Middle East/Africa Business

Tesla Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) eased down during on Monday after it declared that it has hired Willem Haitink to lead sales operations for the Europe/Middle East/Africa business, tips Electrek. Haitink spent previous four years as CEO of sportswear firm O’Neill following a long stint at Nike. He has expertise on European beat following serving as a GM of Converse. The exec will work out of Tesla’s European headquarters in Amsterdam.

On the other side, Tesla Motors Inc. declared that it is offering free trials of its autopilot software to Model S and Model X owners. The firm charged only $2,500 if enabled at car’s delivery, as well as more if software is added and activated later.

Chief Executive of Tesla Elon Musk has declared that he antipastos Tesla is about three years away from selling cars that are fully autonomous.  Tesla released a version of its autopilot suite in October, and in January upgraded software to add a “summon” feature, which permits car to park itself in the owner’s garage and shut itself down, and also to leave its parking area by itself.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (NYSE:FCAU) declared on Monday as it is targeting “significant double-digit growth” for jeep sales in China current year, according to Mike Manley, Chief Operating Officer for the Asia-Pacific region, speaking at the Beijing auto show.

Manley told reporters at a media event that pricing pressure in will continue in China’s sports utility vehicle market. He added pricing pressure would continue in China’s broader car market from side to side 2016, with most pressure on the price of passenger vehicles.
