“GoPro performed just fine in Q4 2016 thanks to a global sell-in blitz,” Anderson said. “However, revenue guidance for Q1 2017 came in below expectations due to sell-through coming up short in Q4 2016 and leaving excess inventory in the channel.” GoPro is cutting costs to improve profitability, but probably needs to shed more costs than it is willing to admit, Anderson said.
